Rutherford Hotel Nelson - A Heritage Hotel

Work stayed at Rutherford for 3 nights and really enjoyed the spacious Premium Twin Room. Housekeeping provided great service daily. Location is spot on, just a short walk to the central shops and restaurants. The breakfast was fantastic, with quick coffee service right at the table. Wi-Fi worked beautifully, keeping my remote work seamless. One downside was car parking. It's overly complicated with valeting options and designated street parking. Improved signage would help. The bathroom could use some updating as the taps felt quite old and were difficult to operate. A lovely hotel with great amenities, but some areas could definitely improve.

This location was good and perfect, close enough to great restaurants, general areas, and Nelson bars and cafes and a very relaxing part of town.

The views were awful.

Charming hotel in a marvellous location to the very center of Nelson, greatly enjoyed this place. The breakfast was incredibly nice, had plenty of options and the food was freshly made. Location: the venue was really close to main restaurants and shops, the public areas and So close to shops bars. I had some drinks at Ford's Restaurant and Bar, positioned 300 metres away.

The Premium Twin Room offered a lovely view of the church from large windows, and the shower pressure was excellent. The interesting woodwork around the hotel added character.

The material headboards were stained, definitely unpleasant. The beds leaned towards the overly soft side, not ideal for everyone. Mobility might be an issue as the tub was raised. The pool was on the smaller side and unheated.

My husband was fishing for the time we were there. The location of the Hotel allowed me to walk to the Botanical Gardens, the Museum, the Cathedral, the beach, as well as do myriads of shopping.

It was a warm and welcoming hotel in an excellent location. The cafe offered good coffee in comfortable seating. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurants were good.

The hotel staff were helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout my visit.

We faced an issue with cleanliness as there were sticky substances on the bathroom bench upon our arrival.

the cleanliness and comfy beds made it super relaxing. 🛏️ the staff was really friendly, making us feel at home. breakfast could've offered fresher fruit options. But overall, loved it!

The location in Trafalgar square was ideal. The outdoor pool and facilities were extremely good. Restaurants and shops are plentiful close by. The hotel is spacious and the rooms modern and bright.

No balcony in the room.

The location is excellent and the size of the rooms good. We also liked using the gym and pool

The room was extremely hot with no air conditioning. The food is very average in Oceania and the bar is very dated.

great coffee and tea options in the room. no safe for valuables.

Great place to stay, close to all the things we wished to do - the only let down was no soap in the room the first night.

The fountain is a bit of a distraction in the foyer.The classic car great

The location was ideal. We enjoyed the room,but thought that the Bar and Restaurant could be doing witrh some money spent on them to bring them more "up to date".

The manageress in the Restaurant was a bit "scary". Too efficient . Did not show genuine care and attention in her effort to provide the service.
